When used as directed, Numb My Thumb® is designed to stay effective for hours - helping you power through longer tattoo sessions. Exact duration varies by skin type, area, and how the product is applied.
Different stages of a tattoo need different solutions. Some products are for pre-session numbing on intact skin, while others are designed for during-procedure use. Choose based on your artist's preference and session length.
Used correctly, Numb My Thumb® is made for tattoo work and should not compromise ink quality. Always wipe the area clean as directed before your artist starts, and follow studio guidance.

Most clients apply a thick layer about 45-60 minutes before the session, then cover with cling wrap (unless your artist prefers otherwise). Timing can vary - check the product instructions.
Do not use if you are allergic to any ingredients. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a medical condition, speak with a healthcare professional first. Patch test 24 hours before full use.
Some people may experience temporary redness, tingling, or sensitivity. Stop use if irritation occurs. Never apply near eyes, inside the mouth, or on unintended broken skin unless the product is specifically made for during-procedure use.
Orders are dispatched from our Australian warehouse. Same-day dispatch is available before 2PM AEST on eligible orders. Packaging is discreet and plain.
Apply only to the tattoo area recommended by your artist, on clean dry skin (unless using a during-procedure product designed for broken skin). Avoid eyes, mucous membranes, and damaged skin not intended for that formula.
Clean the area, apply a thick even layer, cover if directed, wait the recommended time, then wipe clean before tattooing starts. Full steps are on our How To Apply page.
